Welcome to St. Anthony's

Our Parish History

St Anthony’s Parish, Austral traces its beginnings to 1946, when the area was separated from Penrith Parish and later formally established as its own parish in 1965. After the original Progress Hall was destroyed by fire, the first St Anthony’s Church was built and blessed in 1962, followed by the construction of the current parish church, which was opened and dedicated in 1993. Guided by dedicated parish priests over the decades, the parish has continued to grow and serve the Austral community to this day.
